2. Booking Requests

Bookings may be made through our online booking form, by telephone, or by email.

A booking request is not considered fully confirmed until Coral Bay Taxis has accepted the request and sent a confirmation by email, telephone, or another agreed communication method.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate booking information, including:

  • Passenger name.

  • Telephone number and email address.

  • Date and time of pickup.

  • Pickup location.

  • Destination.

  • Flight number, where applicable.

  • Number of passengers.

  • Number and size of luggage items.

  • Child seats or other special requirements.

  • Any additional stops or requested arrangements.

We are not responsible for delays, missed pickups, incorrect vehicles, or additional costs caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

3. Airport Transfers

For airport transfers, customers should provide their correct flight number and arrival details.

Where a flight number has been provided, Coral Bay Taxis may monitor the flight and adjust the pickup time in response to a flight delay. Flight monitoring does not apply where the customer provides incorrect or incomplete flight information.

At the airport, the driver will normally wait at or near the agreed meeting point and may display a sign showing the passenger’s name or group name.

Customers should follow the meeting instructions included in their booking confirmation. If the customer cannot locate the driver, they should contact Coral Bay Taxis immediately using the telephone number provided in the confirmation.

The customer should not leave the airport or arrange alternative transportation without first contacting Coral Bay Taxis, as this may affect the availability of a refund or compensation.

4. Pickup and Waiting Time

Customers should be ready at the agreed pickup location at the confirmed time.

For local pickups, a reasonable waiting period may apply. If the customer is not present, the driver will attempt to contact the customer using the telephone number provided during booking.

If the customer cannot be contacted or does not appear within a reasonable period, the booking may be treated as a no-show.

Any applicable waiting-time charges or no-show charges will be communicated to the customer where possible and may depend on the type of booking, location, airport procedures, and the circumstances involved.

For airport arrivals, the applicable waiting period begins after the passenger has landed and had a reasonable opportunity to collect luggage and pass through the relevant arrival procedures.

Airport restrictions, traffic, operational requirements, and other circumstances may affect where the driver is permitted to wait.

5. Fares and Prices

Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed on the website are quoted per vehicle, not per passenger.

The applicable price will be confirmed during the booking process or in the booking confirmation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the agreed fare may include:

  • The transportation service.

  • Standard tolls.

  • Standard parking charges.

  • Applicable taxes.

  • Reasonable waiting time caused by a monitored flight delay.

  • The agreed number of passengers and luggage items.

The following may incur an additional charge where applicable:

  • Travel between 00:00 and 06:00, during which an additional 20% charge may apply.

  • Additional or unplanned stops.

  • Excessive waiting time not caused by a flight delay.

  • Additional luggage or oversized items.

  • Special vehicles or larger vehicles.

  • Child seats or other special equipment.

  • Changes to the pickup location, destination, route, or booking details.

  • Cleaning charges resulting from damage, spills, illness, food, drink, or other passenger conduct.

  • Services requested after the original booking has been confirmed.

Any additional charge should be explained to the customer where reasonably practicable.

6. Payment

Accepted payment methods may vary depending on the driver and booking. Customers should confirm the available payment method before travelling if they require a specific option.

The customer is responsible for paying the full agreed fare and any properly applicable additional charges.

Where a booking is made on behalf of another passenger, the person making the booking accepts responsibility for ensuring that the passenger is informed of these Terms and Conditions and pays all applicable charges.

7. Changes and Cancellation

Customers should notify Coral Bay Taxis as soon as possible if they need to change or cancel a booking.

Changes are subject to availability and may result in a different fare, particularly where they require:

  • A larger vehicle.

  • A different pickup or destination.

  • Additional stops.

  • A different date or time.

  • Additional waiting time.

Cancellation may be made by telephone or email using the contact details provided above.

Where a cancellation is made sufficiently in advance, no cancellation fee may apply. However, Coral Bay Taxis may charge a reasonable cancellation or no-show fee where:

  • The customer cancels shortly before pickup.

  • The customer fails to attend the agreed pickup point.

  • The customer cannot be contacted.

  • The vehicle and driver have already been dispatched.

  • The booking involves special arrangements or a private tour.

  • The cancellation causes a demonstrable loss to the business.

Any cancellation charge should be notified to the customer before being applied, where reasonably possible.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Vehicle Capacity and Luggage

Passengers must not exceed the legal or advertised capacity of the vehicle.

Coral Bay Taxis may provide vehicles capable of carrying up to eight passengers plus the driver, subject to vehicle availability, legal requirements, and the amount of luggage.

Each passenger should normally travel with one standard suitcase or equivalent item. Customers must notify Coral Bay Taxis in advance if they intend to carry:

  • Multiple suitcases.

  • Oversized luggage.

  • Sports equipment.

  • Bicycles.

  • Wheelchairs or mobility equipment.

  • Musical instruments.

  • Prams or pushchairs.

  • Other bulky items.

If the luggage or passenger requirements differ materially from the booking details, Coral Bay Taxis may need to provide a different vehicle or may be unable to accept the booking.

Luggage must be securely stored and must not obstruct the driver, emergency exits, doors, or other passengers.

9. Passenger Conduct

Passengers must behave respectfully and follow the driver’s reasonable instructions.

Passengers must not:

  • Smoke or vape in the vehicle.

  • Consume food or drinks without permission.

  • Damage or interfere with the vehicle.

  • Behave violently, abusively, threateningly, or dangerously.

  • Distract the driver.

  • Carry illegal, dangerous, flammable, explosive, or hazardous materials.

  • Travel while carrying items that may endanger the driver, passengers, or public.

  • Place luggage or personal belongings where they create a safety risk.

The driver may refuse or discontinue transportation where a passenger’s conduct creates a safety risk or makes it unreasonable to continue the journey.

Where a passenger damages or excessively soils the vehicle, Coral Bay Taxis may seek reimbursement for reasonable cleaning, repair, replacement, recovery, or loss-of-use costs.

10. Children and Special Requirements

Parents, guardians, or accompanying adults are responsible for supervising children throughout the journey.

Customers must inform Coral Bay Taxis at the time of booking if a child seat, booster seat, wheelchair-accessible vehicle, or other special arrangement is required.

Special equipment is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.

Passengers must comply with applicable Cyprus laws and safety requirements concerning child restraints, seat belts, and passenger transportation.

11. Routes and Journey Times

The driver may select a reasonable and safe route to the destination, taking account of traffic, road closures, weather, road conditions, safety, and operational requirements.

Estimated journey times are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed.

Coral Bay Taxis is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including:

  • Traffic congestion.

  • Road accidents.

  • Roadworks or closures.

  • Weather conditions.

  • Public demonstrations or civil disturbances.

  • Police or emergency service activity.

  • Airport restrictions.

  • Vehicle breakdowns.

  • Industrial action.

  • Government measures.

  • Events beyond the reasonable control of Coral Bay Taxis.

Where practical, Coral Bay Taxis will take reasonable steps to arrange an alternative vehicle or solution if the booked vehicle becomes unavailable.

12. Tours and Excursions

Tours and excursions are provided according to the itinerary agreed with the customer.

The itinerary may need to be changed because of weather, road conditions, attraction closures, safety concerns, traffic, operational restrictions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Admission tickets, meals, guide services, parking, entrance fees, and other expenses are included only where expressly stated in the booking confirmation.

Customers are responsible for arriving at agreed meeting points on time. Delays caused by customers may reduce the available tour time or result in additional charges.

13. Lost Property

Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings, luggage, documents, money, electronic devices, and valuables.

If an item is found in one of our vehicles, customers should contact Coral Bay Taxis as soon as possible with details of the journey and the missing item.

Where possible, found property may be retained for up to two weeks after the journey.

The return of lost property may be subject to a reasonable delivery, handling, storage, or transportation charge. Coral Bay Taxis cannot guarantee the recovery or return of any lost item and is not responsible for items left unattended in a vehicle unless liability is imposed by applicable law.

14. Liability

Coral Bay Taxis will provide its services with reasonable care and skill.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Coral Bay Taxis is not liable for indirect, consequential, or unforeseeable loss, including loss resulting from missed flights, missed connections, lost income, loss of holiday time, or changes to travel plans caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Deliberate misconduct.

  • Liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  • The customer’s statutory consumer rights.

Customers should allow sufficient time for airport check-in, security, traffic, and other travel requirements. We recommend allowing additional time when booking an airport transfer.

15. Accessibility and Assistance

Customers requiring mobility assistance or other support should notify Coral Bay Taxis before completing a booking.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements, subject to vehicle availability, safety requirements, and the physical limitations of the vehicle.

Customers should provide accurate information about wheelchairs, mobility aids, assistance animals, luggage, and any other relevant requirements.

This may include the customer’s name, telephone number, email address, pickup details, destination, flight number, and booking information.

Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, applicable data-protection legislation, and the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation where applicable.

Customers should not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information through the booking form.
